Cliveden House

Absolutely stunning location. We use Cliveden for our Xmas small group events, and it never fails to impress. The French Dining room is truly beautiful and brings the magic of Christmas to life. The staffing and service was flawelss, and the food was oustanding.

Love this place. The long walk was impressive and autumnal trees and greenery very beautiful. Did not go into the hotel/restaurant. There is a lovely conservatory beside the house where you can shelter from inclement weather and gorge on cake or savoury food items

We had our first afternoon tea as a couple with our baby, and it was honestly one of the loveliest experiences we’ve had as a family. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt calm, elegant, and welcoming—not at all intimidating, which we’d secretly worried about bringing a baby along. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel comfortable and never rushed, even when we needed a moment to settle the little one.

We had afternoon tea overlooking the beautiful garden and stayed the night. Don't be fooled. Afternoon tea looked sparse, but was endless. With cakes, sandwiches and teapots constantly being refilled. The house is picture perfect and immaculate. The spa facilities and swimming pools were spotless. Despite mini Christmas trees everywhere there was not a pine needle in sight! Breakfast is included in the price of the room and is certainly one of their best assets. Choose from Continental, Cooked or both. Cliveden House is definitely peaceful and luxurious. Staff were generally polite and friendly and obviously put in alot of effort and attention to detail. (There was a little blip, but it was quickly smoothed over by the lovely Nadine). Cliveden House has so much to offer, but strangely enough..... to me, there was something missing ........ Cliveden is either a 5 star* or its a 3 star. Visit and enjoy the luxury for yourself and you decide.

Very difficult not to like the Cliveden House. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The room (Prince Albert), albeit small, felt cosy and luxurious, with all the necessary appliances and complimentary snacks. I suggest it for anyone in question of a lovely view, and more particularly, in need of catching a glimpse of the wonderful outdoor swimming pool. The spa area is highly enjoyable, and I particularly liked that the shop offers a nice variety of products for realistic prices. The breakfast was truly sensational with a breathtaking view. Overall, the quality of the food was great. Although the à la carte menu for room service was perhaps a bit pricey for the quality level (more specifically, the size of the meals). But again, it’s hard not to expect this being the case in a hotel like the Cliveden House. I would absolutely love to come back.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The Service from when you pull in (Valet parking) through until leaving was absolutely amazing. The building itself and the rooms were stunning with all you could wish for. It was a magical experience and will book again. It is expensive but worth every penny. We dined in the Dining Room which is a fantastic setting with brilliant service. my only quibble would be the portion sizes but I get this is typical of fine dining. Thanks so much to all the wonderful team at Clivedon for looking after us during our stay. What an unforgettable experience.

One of the finest hotels in the world. Service and rooms ultra high quality with miles of exquisite walks, this place is very special. The spa has indoor outdoor pools, hot tubs and all the facilities you can ask for, highly recommended !

This is a beautiful mansion just 22 miles outside of London. The drive to the hotel is amazing and the rooms, restaurants, and spa are well appointed as well. Definitely worth a visit and stay if one is in the area. Overall, our experience here was good.
